I dont think people realize how much they're shaming people to think and look a certain way. Anything outside of that realm are overlooked.
There are many other viral tweets that shame gays for a plethora of reasons (being too masculine, not liking drag race, top shaming, etc) If you study these accounts, you notice that the most followed ones are those that are caucasian with decent bodies. (not that theres anything wrong with sex work) but I saw a viral tweet about an account shaming people for watching free porn videos instead of supporting sex work and that kinda threw me off.Īnother thing I've noticed is that there seems to be an undisclosed dictatorship in regards to how a gay man should act. Seems to be dominated by the opinion of those with god-like bodies, usually sex workers. I recently began to dive into the gay side of twitter and seeing how much different it is compared to real life.
I've had a twitter for years but was never active until as of late.
